Spoken Kannada is an easy and comprehensive way for beginners to start learning spoken Kannada to:
Spoken Kannada for Absolute Beginners is a fantastic book:
Here are the Pros and cons:
Pros: easy to use, language learner friendly, Kannada transliteration and audio, Memrise course for learning vocabularies and sentences, Role play scenarios, Great grammar explanations with lots and lots of examples and Exercises with keys.

Cons: There isn’t any real con that i found, the only con that i can say is there isn’t any actual Kannada script. But, the author says it’s tough and takes a lot of time to learn Kannada script so he skipped it.

Overall, If you are looking for a book to learn Kannada and want to make Kannada sentences with 4-5 words in short span of time then this book is for you. I strongly believe that this is the best book to learn Kannada.

A MUST If You Are Going To Bangalore:

Clear and concise guide to spoken Kannada:
The book is laid out logically and progressively. As beautiful as it may be, there’s no Kannada script used (as the focus of the book is the spoken language), so there’s very little learning curve in reading the Roman transliteration. (It’s OK that no Kannada script is used in this book. Spoken language comes first! Most Indians can text in Roman script anyway.) The explanations and examples are clear, and the exercises are helpful. The audio files are easily downloaded from the website indicated in the book. Listening to the language makes it even more inspiring to learn this language spoken by soon-to-be 60 million speakers.

    Great book for beginners:
When it comes to learning Kannada, there aren’t many resources available. When I was searching for a book on Amazon, I could hardly find anything proper. This book, however, fits what I needed. It provides tons of information and exercises at the end of each chapter, which is a bonus. Kannada is a tough language to learn, let me tell you that, but this book makes it much easier to learn Kannada and I found it to be fun as well. The author explains everything in detail with lots of examples and guides you through the whole language learning process. Overall, i would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn and be fluent in Kannada.

    Excellent Resource for Beginners:
If you, like me, have minimal familiarity with Kannada, this book is for you. Sanjay explains the nuances of the language in a way that is comprehensible for leaners at every level. It is rare to find a book of this quality that is written with the needs of absolute beginners in mind. I cannot recommend this book enough for anyone seeking to learn the language of P. V. Acharya.
